Newly Opened Mitte Slider Shop Offers A Glimmer Of Hope Amidst Corona-Lockdown’s Double-Down
Mitte- Crackbuns*, the new shop just off of Kleiner Hamburger Strasse has taken the foodie class by storm since they launched their soft opening about two weeks ago, in the midst of the government’s double down of the Corona lockdown measures. The deal is that it’s a new Slider focused concept with a Japanese flair, sporting oversized Mochi-Mochi Fries and shakes like Honey Wasabi or Black Sesame to accompany their selection of Crackbun mini burgers. Cheeky move, doing mini burgers considering they are located on Kleine Hamburger Strasse. With buns made in their in house bakery, smashed burger style, and elegantly designed shop, Crackbuns supplies the most complete burger experience in town. But if you are expecting only the savoury, be forewarned, because Crackbuns’ sweet buns are a force to be reckoned with, from French Toast to Yuzu Cream injected buns, this is something Berlin has never seen.
With Corona lockdowns in full force, severely limiting available foodie experiences, this beautiful new shop has given a glimmer of hope to the most saddened of spirits. Currently they are only doing in-house takeaway service, but the word is they will soon be doing delivery service through one of the online platforms Berlin has to offer. No word on exactly when you’ll be able to order the buns at home, but Mr. Eatler will keep you abreast of developments.
OH!!! And show them THIS POST from now until the end of January and get a free SHAKE with any purchase over ten bucks!
