Uruguayan Street Food Joint Bringing Empanadas Into Brick & Mortar
Pecados, new Uruguayan street food joint over in Neukölln is knocked up and is seemingly close to giving birth. The deal with the new resto is that its is another street food/Markthall Neun baby that has grown into its own brick and mortar shop. The new joint that has been under construction for the last couple of months was spotted on the TIP Line bringing in some of the heavy equipment including an empanada maker. That’s right, Empanadas coming in from a Montevidean transplant who was longing for the food of her home. Oddly enough Mr. Eatler, who doesn’t come from Montevideo, was also longing for the food from her home. They’re going to have both sweet and savoury at the new joint, but the word is still out on what other elements will be a part of the establishment. More on the story as it develops.
