Stinger In Mitte, Love Letters In Char-burg & More: Reviews Of The Week
Neukölln, Mitte, Charlottenburg, Kreuzberg- Barra, Beavis Bar, Prism, 1687, O.A.K, Le Bon
Neukölln- Barra, few month old joint from the former head chef at Industry Standard and Wagner Cocktail got a write up/love letter from TIP Berlin. Much props for the attitude, without the bullshit. Good read. Check it out here.
Mitte- Beavis Bar, the purist liquor proprietors that opened up this past summer got a feature over at Morgenpost which revealed that they are somewhat evolving on their NO COCKTAILS policy. They still won’t mix it for you, but you can mix it yourself sort of thing. Check it out here.
Mitte- 1687 new-ish joint got an alarmingly bad scorcher from Berliner Zeitung. So bad it hurts. What happened over there?!? Damn. Rare to get such a shitty review these days in Berlin. Nevertheless the writer gave their prerequisite qualifier… how I don’t pay for meals and so on and so forth. There it is. Check it out here.
Charlottenburg- Prism, few month old molecular cuisine joint got a very loving feature from Mit Vergnügen and were impressed with the camel pastrami and also happy with the Middle Eastern wine selection. Check it out here.
Kreuzberg- Le Bon cafe got some love from Mit Vergnügen for their pancakes and breakfast stylings. They also showed some love for the boozy brunch game. Check it out here.
Neukölln- O.A.K got a feature over at I Heart Berlin, a little history on the joint, the offerings and the philosophy behind the mom and pop shop operation. Check it out here.
