Sour Dough Pizza, Peking/Kreuzberg Duck & More- Review Rundown
Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg, Neukölln- The Bird Barbecue, Layla, B.Horn, Gazzo Pizza, Orania
Prenzlauer Berg- The Bird Barbecue, the latest edition of the popular Bird meat centric company, got a write up from Berlin Loves You. And indeed Berlin Loves You loves The Bird Barbecue. A bit of a history lesson on the joint, and much love for the concept that brings smoked meats to the game. Check it out here.
Kreuzberg- Layla, the new Israeli resto at the base of the Crown Plaza got a short little write up from Creme Guides, who sell the company line. A little history of the head chef and owner, as well as a bit of an exposition on the dishes. Check it out here.
Neukölln- B.Horn, the second joint from the same restaurateur that does some mid-range euro cuisine got a surprisingly positive review from the usually more ascerbic critic at Berliner Zeitung. Much love for the menu with its complex compositions. Check it out here.
Neukölln- Gazzo Pizza, the brand new sour dough pizza shop down in Neukölln got much love from Mit Vergnügen, which is only to be expected. They were especially pleased with the hosting, and naturally they were very happy with the vegan/veggie options. Check it out here.
Kreuzberg- ExBerliner gave out laudits for Kreuzberg hotel resto, Orania. The joint suffered some anti gentrification troubles at first, but now is on the mend. They were particularly please with the Kruezberg Duck, which is a Peking Duck, in a Berlin iteration. Check it out here.
