Openings

openingsTiergartenCoa, an Asian Food & Drink bowl chain, officially opened up a new joint at Potsdamer Platz. Their menu mostly focuses on South East Asian cuisine. Check it out here

Mitte Oyster Bar, first timer bar had its soft opening last week and will be serving oysters, champagne and booze as of now. Check it out here

Friedrichshain Soma Bar traded its ownership and has been taken over by the Badfish bar owner, who decided to rename the cocktail joint. Unclear if other changes are on the horizon. Check it out here

Kreuzberg Mr. Koshari, a new Egyptian street food resto, had its grand opening last week and will be doing Middle Eastern flavours with a heavy focus on vegan/halal options. Check it out here

Kreuzberg OYE Cafe Kneipe, a queer friendly café/bistro/bar, has taken the place of a ten year old lesbian-run cafe and wants to become the ideal hangout spot for the queer-feminist/anti-racist crowd. Check it out here

Knocked-Up

Kreuzberg – Tupac Berlin, a joint doing Modern Peruvian Kitchen, is under construction and promises to bring more than the typical ceviche/cocktail spread. Veteren Berlin head chef at the healm. Check it out here

Prenzlauer BergDodo, a new cafe doing quality gelato plus full coffee program, is due to open mid-october. They are also on the hunt for some people to join their team. Check it out here

KreuzbergLayla, new Israeli joint by a celebrity chef, has released some footage of the upcoming resto, giving some indication as to how far along constructions are… will take some time. Check it out here

Neukölln –  Barra, a new resto coming from the popular To The Regiment pop up crew, has revealed its concept with public shingle, including a soon-to-be weekend brunch menu. Check it out here

FriedrichshainChupenga, the Mitte based Mexican burrito shop, is gearing up for the opening of a third location over at Mercedes Platz, opposite the East Side Gallery, are also actively on the hunt. Check it out here

CharlottenburgBerlin Burrito Company, is opening up a new joint in Charlottenburg, where they’ll be continuing with straight forward looking Tex Mex cuisine. Check it out here

CharlottenburgAERA, formerly known as BadHunterStories, has been prepping for the launch of a new Gluten Free Bakery, which interestingly has been raised through crowdsourcing platforms. Seems that they are already on some stylish bloggers most important top tenners lists… Friendships seem to go a long way.  Check it out here
