Hors d’Oeuvres Bar Makes Restaurant Shift In Prenz.
Prenzlauer Berg- Bricole Restaurant
Bricole, the hors d’oeuvres bar that opened up a little over a year ago at the hands of a former employee of a major Berlin restaurant is shifting face just a little bit. The joint is migrating form “Bricole Hors d’Oeuvres Bar” to “Bricole Restaurant.” The original concept of the bar was not too distant from the ubiquitous tapas concept and the underlying philosophy is as follows “A menu that does not impose a main dish, but offers a selection of dishes that you can combine and order as your mood takes you.” With the name adjustment the question is will Bricole shift to a more traditional, 1st 2nd 3rd course model, or will they remain with the Hors d’Oeuvres paradigm that they have built? The answer is that they will indeed remain committed to the original concept and continue serving small dishes in no particular order. Then why the name change? Essentially so that the name “Hors d’Oeuvres” doesn’t scare off any potential diners.
