Openings Rundown: Haferkater, Bar 21, Men Men & More
Openings Rundown: Some of the joints that opened up this weekend or are scheduled to make an appearance in the coming days. Haferkater, Men Men, Bar21, Italo Fritzen. Here it goes:
Mitte- Haferkater, the porridge chain that is expanding accross Berlin is hitting the official grand opening tomorrow. They’ve been in operation for the last two weeks but the official is tomorrow. Unclear if there will be any sort of event, or special, or if they are just letting the world know… “hey, we’re here, we serve porridge, get used to it.” Mr. Eatler will keep you abreast.
Neukölln- Men Men, the long time ramen noodle shop just north of Sonnenallee is going into the softy tomorrow. They had been under renovations for the better part of last year and all of this year so far. Unclear what exactly went down at the joint but tomorrow ramen is to be had. Whether they will be having an official party or event for opening is as of yet unknown.
Prenzlauer Berg- Bar 21, new bar at the heart of the Kulturbrauerei and in the same building as the RambaZamba theatre opened up this past weekend. Still no much known about the joint which is in part connected to the same crew that owns Höschen, another Prenz. bar over on Dunkerstr. Mr. Eatler will keep you abreast.
Mitte- Italo Fritzen, new Italian mid-high range looking joint just opened one level above Grill Royal. It used to house the Viennese cafe, Julius Mandl, but the owners have redefined the joint, even if not necessarily the clientele. For more info check out Eatler’s report here.
