Nosh Berlin, the Jewish food festival that had a strong first year and is going to be held every two years is making an early sneak preview. That’s right, you won’t have to wait a whole year to get your hands on some of that gefilte love and bagel joy because Nosh is doing a mini Nosh that will aim feature Jewish food from the diaspora, so North African, Middle Eastern, South Indian, Ethiopian, Iraqi, Persian, Brazilian, Quebecois, Russian, Greek, Turkish, South African, and Yemenite among others over at Markthalle Neun.
So far they got: Tunisian, Moroccan, Indian, Persian, wide spectrum of Ashkenazi classics (bagels and lox, blintzes, cholent), modern deli goodness (pastrami, challah french toast), modern Israeli stuff… so pretty good already. This will be later in March so you’ve got time to clean your schedule. And if you don’t that’s fine too, Mr. Eatler will just have to eat all of that gefilte alone… in the dark. Check it out here.
