Opening: Côbéin Traditional Viet Joint Opens In Former Black Cat House
Prenzlauer Berg- Côbéin, traditional Vietnamese joint opened up about a month ago over at the same location of the former Kinza that closed down earlier this summer and also in the moderately famous Black Cat Burger Joint that occupied the location before that. The new joint is decidedly more on the dark and stormy side of design and has nothing to do with the former locations. Site language makes a clearly noble venture:
In “Côbéin” is the name Cô Bé. Cô Bé is the mother of Vietnamese cuisine. In French, Côbéin has the pronunciation “copain”, meaning friends. We embody Cô Bé and treat you and your friends with genuine and qualitative dishes.”
The only worry is… Is the location a revolving door? Kinza was up and running for a relatively short time, but hopefully Côbéin will be able to develop a mainstay. Black Cat had been at the place for quite a while so its still up in the air.
