Recognition For Authentic Japanese, Tsukushiya Deli
Kreuzberg– Tsukushiya Deli is getting more positive recognition in a review from Tip Berlin. Tsukushiya is an authentic Japanese restaurant/deli and has been open for about three months. Unlike the common western misconception that all Japanese restaurants serve sushi, Tsukushiya avoids the stereotype and focuses on cooked cuisine, such as okonomiyaki a sort of egg pancake, with bonito flakes, fried dumpling gyoza, and udon noodles among other items. They also offer a small list of sakes and Japanese beverages. It’s promising that a German publication is reacting positively to a more authentic Japanese dining experience, without the spicy tuna and hot sake expectations.
